You probably didn't know the best way to get to central London

Last weekend, we helped three groups of people save money on day trips to London, you might be surprised how much they saved.

Bill and Marge

Travelling from Peterborough

Going to The London Eye

Saved £26.63

Getting the train would normally have cost them £56 including parking; driving to a suburban tube station (East Finchley) - calculating fuel, parking and tube tickets with their Oyster cards cost a total of £31.29.

Bill even saved a couple more quid and jumped the queues from buying his London Eye tickets online

Steph and Dave

Travelling from Reading

Going to The Tower of London

Saved £33.96

Getting the train would normally have cost them £57.40 including parking at Reading station; driving to a suburban train station (North Ealing) - calculating fuel, parking and tube tickets with their Oyster cards cost a total of £23.44 for the pair of them.

Dave said "I can't believe I saved enough to pay for two inflatable collars for my dogs!"

Kyle, Sam and Laura

Travelling from Bristol

Going to Camden

Saved £140.80

Getting the train would normally have cost them £186.40 altogether including travelcards and parking at Bristol Parkway; driving to East Finchley - calculating fuel, parking and tube tickets with their Oyster cards cost a total of £45.60 for the lot of them.

Sam was ecstatic, he said "it's saved me so much money, with all this spare cash I can spend it on what I really want, cocaine and strippers!"
